TANYA ALLEN created and patented ForeverFresh Disposable Undergarments. After researching and concluding that women needed a feminine hygiene product to supplement their needs, Allen developed this simplistic but much needed product. Inspired by her philosophy to “lift as you climb”, Allen has dedicated her life to her dream of making ForeverFresh, a household name and volunteering her time to worthy causes. In the medical arena, ForeverFresh has been successfully used at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Henry Ford Hospital, Hutzel Hospital, Providence Hospital and Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI. FFG expanded its’ product line to include disposables isolation gowns, caps, pajamas.
In 2005, Allen’s company was the only U.S. firm to receive the prestigious award from the European Disposable & Nonwoven Association for product innovation utilizing non-woven materials. ForeverFresh was the only U.S. company awarded in 2005. Plans are in process to take the product to the retail market. Allen is now pursuing the retail market for her product.
In addition to marketing ForeverFresh, Ms. Allen works as a business development consultant for Continental Services, the parent company of Infinity & Ovation Yacht Charters.
Prior to establishing ForeverFresh, Ms. Allen worked in sales for 14 years and studied at the University of Detroit. She was selected by the Kmart Corporation to attend the Minority Business Executive Program at Amos Tuck School (Dartmouth College). She has received numerous awards and recognition for her patented product to include, including State of Michigan Outstanding Young Minority Entrepreneur and Class I Supplier of the Year, MMBDC.
Organization Affiliations: Michigan Minority Business Development Council, Greater Detroit Chamber of Commerce, Hospice of Michigan African American Advisory Committee, Simon House, United Negro College Fund, United Way Community Leaders Council, graduate of Leadership Detroit Class XXIII and Executive Women International. Ms. Allen serves as a Human Rights Commissioner for the City of Detroit.
The proud mother of four children, Marseille (27), Marvin II (25), Tamarah (21 and Milan (17) Ms. Allen resides in Bloomfield Hills with her two daughters, Tamarah and Milan. |
