As a non-profit organization, Plowshares Theatre Company depends upon charitable contributions to continue creating and developing the voices of African America. Ticket sales cover only 40% of operating costs; your support provides vital funds for our mainstage and educational programs.

Join the Movement! Would you give $120 to award-winning Detroit theater and outreach programs? If 1000 etroiters each contribute $10 a month for a year, we will reach our goal. You will have our thanks and pledge to continue the great work we have done since 1990.
The formula is simple:
1000 Detroiters x $120 = Plowshares Theatre w/$120,000

The Plowshares Partners Campaign
For almost 2 decades now, Plowshares Theatre Company has been the alternative voice in metro Detroit’s performing arts community. A theatre that offers a true off-Broadway experience, with the kinds of entertaining, and diverse productions that has made it a favorite among discerning patrons. Plowshares is an urban theatre with a
distinctly Detroit style.
Beginning in 2005, Plowshares Theatre Company is unveiling a special fundraising campaign, Sharing the Vision, Shaping the Future: The Plowshares Partners Campaign.
This is Plowshares’ first major fundraising effort ever undertaken by Plowshares Theatre. Contributions and pledges toward the $1.5 million goal will be targeted for debt elimination, endowment and program initiatives.
This event marked an historic milestone in the company’s life and was an appropriate time to launch this comprehensive campaign. As an essential part of metro Detroit’s cultural life and a solid foundation as a world-class theater, Plowshares is poised for the next stage of growth.
