Volunteers: Making Plowshares Theatre Company a Success
Volunteers are the people who make Plowshares Theatre Company happen, supporting every actor, director, and designer for the most amazing theatre in Michigan. A piece of the success belongs to each one of the volunteers who show their love for the work of the company.

How to become a Volunteer
Anyone interested in making Plowshares Theatre Company a success is welcomed to become a volunteer. There are no restrictions based on sex, race, creed, physical ability, social standing or education. The only qualification is that the applicants must be 18 years old.

1. Why should I become a volunteer?

• Contribute to the success of Plowshares Theatre Company.
• Participate in creating some of the best theatre in Michigan.
• Experience this unique event firsthand, gain valuable knowledge, and meet people who share your interests.
  

2. Am I eligible and what qualifications are required?

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Complete and send in the Application Form.
• Attend the designated interview.
• Commit to being available during the period of time for which you will volunteer.
• Participate in the Volunteer Training Program.

3. When will my services be required?

• A goal total of 50 volunteers are desired to participate in the Volunteer Program. The majority of them will be needed between January and December.

4. For how many days will my services be requires?

• The length of volunteer involvement varies. Typically, it can range from 5-10 days and month
• When you fill out the Application Form, you will have to specify the exact number of days that you wish to offer your services.

5. Where could I offer my services?

• At the Plowshares Theatre Company offices: 2870 East Grant Blvd., Suite 600, Detroit MI 48202.

6. How will I prepare to offer my services and will I be entitled to any benefits?

• All volunteers will be prepared with proper training for their assignment.
• In order to facilitate the work of volunteers, Plowshares Theatre Company offers each volunteer a Plowshares Theatre Company t-shirt and any equipment required for the work they would be assigned to do.

7. What will my training consist of?

Training will enrich your knowledge in your area of involvement. At the same time you will be offered the opportunity to:

• Learn more about Plowshares Theatre Company.
• Get an outline of your responsibilities and duties.
• Find out about all the shows and other activities taking place throughout the season.
• Work closely with the staff members, artists, and technicians while familiarizing yourself with the world of theatre.
