PLOWSHARES THEATRE COMPANY
Making a Difference
When you make a financial contribution of $100 or more you become a Plowshares Member. And you help sustain the work and vision of our actors, directors, designers and playwrights, and support the creation of exceptional theatre. As a charitable not-for-profit organization, Plowshares is dependent upon your donation to help fill the gap between earned revenue (ticket sales, for example) and the cost of mounting a season of theatre.
Donations of $1000 or more place you within the Plowshares Partners program – an ever growing group of generous individuals who provide vital leadership and receive many exclusive benefits.
Now is the best time of year to become a Member – you enjoy the privilege of ordering your 2010 tickets before the general public and donations made before December 30 help support our year-end appeal.
FAST FACTS
What does my Membership and Plowshares Partners gift support?
Your gift directly supports and affects the quality of our productions on stage – helping us cover the cost of equipment and supplies to build sets, props and costumes, and to light our stage. Additionally, we run education programs for young people – both in the theatre and in schools – and provide training opportunities for emerging theatre artists.
In what additional ways can I support Plowshares?
Consider upgrading your membership – and enjoy even more privileges. Inquire about matching gifts at work – contact your Human Resources department. Make a planned gift including bequests, life insurance gifts, life income gifts, real estate gifts and retirement savings plan gifts.
What does an “adjusted” charitable gift receipt mean vs. a full charitable gift receipt?
Due to U.S. tax law; if you accept your benefits as a member (ie. complimentary opening night tickets) we will subtract the value of the benefits from your gift for your charitable receipt. A full receipt is issued when you waive your benefits.
